Memorial Day Recipes: Greek Grilling Round-Up

If you missed any of our Greek/Mediterranean Grilling recipes for Memorial Day here is the complete line-up of our tasty concoctions, including our review of two Greek wines.

Remember to take a moment this weekend and give thanks to all the men and women who served and sacrificed while serving the United States.  Have a relaxing/safe Memorial Day!

Greek Yogurt Marinated Chicken-

This simple recipe for marinated chicken combines the tenderizing power of yogurt, with subtle hints of sweetness, citrus, spice and heat.  Smoke and char off the grill add that last level of flavor. 

Grilled Greek Salad-

A straight forward recipe that takes your “normal” Greek salad to the next level, adding greater depth in flavor to the lettuce and of course that subtle unbeatable grilling char to the salad.

Greek Lamb Burgers-

This recipe uses all the natural ingredients that work deliciously well with lamb; goat cheese, garlic, rosemary, and roasted tomatoes.  I’ve also included links to recipes for a tzatziki sauce and homemade hamburgers buns which put this burger over the top. 

Greek Wines-

If you have been reluctant to try Greek wines, here are two very approachable ones that not only will work well with our Memorial Day recipes, but won’t burn a hole in your wallet. Give either one a try and enjoy!

Feta & Artichoke Dip Recipe-

A salty, spicy (can be adjusted to your taste), and a slightly different take on your traditional artichoke dip, which takes less than 5 minutes to make – seriously.  

Baba Ghanoush Recipe-

Probably unlike any other baba ghanoush that you’ve ever had.  The smokiness which is integrated into the dip from grilling the eggplant and tomatoes makes this absolutely phenomenal…or as Craftyglutton says; “is this stuff rock star good.”

Spicy Roasted Pepper Hummus Recipe-

This is a fiery hummus loaded with roasted jalapeno peppers.  Easily adjustable to ratchet up or down the heat and simply delicious.
