Grand Teton Brewing Coming Home 2014 AleThe holidays are a time for family, joyous festivities, and acknowledging the better things in life. Anything which enhances the season is a bonus and in the Glutton household we’ve come to rely upon Grand Teton’s Home Coming Ale as a palate pleasing staple of goodness during the winter months.

Though the construction of this Belgian style beer has changed over the years, what hasn’t changed is GTB’s commitment to delivering an exceptional beer experience…one that leaves one’s mouth unknowingly smiling at the simplistic interactions on the palate.

The 2014 edition the Coming Home Ale is no exception with Grand Teton stepping forth into the world of Belgian Quadrupels to deliver a beer that’s a classic representation of both the style and everything that embodies GTB’s Cellar Reserve Series.

Here’s my complete review:

2014 Grand Teton Brewing Coming Home Ale (10% alc)
Mahogany red in color with a moderate head, the beer opens with the classic yeast notes of a Belgian Quad including roasted malts, plums, cherry, and caramel notes.  The palate darts into existence with fruit fig and raisin notes that are enhanced by the flavors of burnt caramel and browned butter leading into an elongated and satisfying finish of rum fruit notes.  Perfectly balanced on the weight, with well integrated alcohol which make for a happily consumable sud.

Recommended for…lovers of Belgian Quads and exceptional beer experiences.
